Girls and Boys
Girls and Boys
Girls & Boys are a California based band on the rise. Led by the soulful vocals of front-woman Brianna Lee (vocals, guitar), the band's dynamics back up her every move with power, grace and an undeniable chemistry, making for a captivating live show. Girls & Boys unique sound covers ground from indie and rock to delicate, bluesy ballads brought to life by it's players: including cofounding member, producer, and sonic-meister Josh Barrett (bass), Nick Simmons (guitar), and Hayden Gardener (drums). Their heart pounding live performances have led the group to play some of the top venues in California including Great American Music Hall, Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Vina Robles Amphitheater, Hotel Cafe, Mystic Theatre, Bottle Rock Festival in Napa, and The Sweetwater Music Hall - to name a few - and to receive the Bay Area Bohemian's Best Indie Band in 2012.
Currently in the finishing stages of their sophomore album, outside of the studio Girls & Boys have been touring California opening for acts such as Elvis Costello, The Doobie Brothers, Allen Stone, Goo Goo Dolls, Lucinda Williams, Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers and more. Since their debut release in 2012 people near and far have been taking notice and "The Feel of The Sun"'s strong sonic quality and songwriting landed various Film and TV placements including 2013's "Divorce Invitation" and the Showtime Reality series "The Real L Word". With roots that date back to 2007, when bassist Josh Barrett and vocalist Brianna Lee met at an open mic, the band's passion has always been a common one: to play music straight from the heart, with power and soul.
Look for Girls & Boys in a town near you soon.
The Breaking
The Breaking
The Pacific Northwest has long been known as a stronghold of alternative rock, although Portland's relatively recent rise to cultural mecca has created something of a faddish scene that barely resembles its roots. Nonetheless, a band of '90s-raised Northwesterners from the Rose City still carry the torch that illuminated their upbringing. Their self-titled debut LP, The Breaking, is a testament to the depth of that artistic heritage.

Frontman Adam Sweeney and lead guitarist Tim Karplus form the core of the band, whose vintage sound is best defined by album opener Gone Electric. From its wall of rhythm guitars that honor the band's more raucous influences to its undeniable pop chorus hook, the single represents a solid debut effort that is sure to remind listeners where alternative rock found its footing.
Sharkmouth
Sharkmouth
After assembling in June 2015, Sharkmouth recorded and released their first EP in December. They've been compared to the Cramps, Marc Ribot, Devo and Kendrick to name a few. The bois have some new material in the works and a mean new outlook on the apocalypse. Watch your back.
